A woman from the "Rhône vineyards"
Isabelle Sabon, a graduate oenologist from the University of Toulouse and from a family of winemakers, has been leading the destiny of Domaine de la Janasse for over 20 years with her brother Christophe.
With the family estate having become one of the jewels of the Rhône Valley and more particularly of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, Isabelle decided in 2014 to take the plunge and found her own estate in order to write a new page in the family history.
She buys an 18th-century Provençal farmhouse surrounded by 15 hectares of vines, whose spirit her father, Aimé Sabon, founder of Domaine de la Janasse, was immediately captivated by upon his arrival. Located north of the commune of Jonquières, this estate is at the southern limit and highest point of the Plan de Dieu appellation.
The name for this new vineyard was a natural choice. The estate is located on a site dating back to the Napoleonic era, and the inscription "St Antonin" is visible on the facade of the old building. Thus, St Antonin was born.
Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Clairette, and Chardonnay grow side by side on a stony terroir, protected from erosion, oriented north-south, and resting on marl. These new terroirs allow Isabelle Sabon to express her own vision of wine.

St. Antonin
In the heart of Provence, not far from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, St Antonin has been observing this territory of Vaucluse, which it overlooks, for centuries.
Located at the highest point of the Plan de Dieu appellation, the estate extends over a walled vineyard of 15 hectares surrounding an 18th century Provençal farmhouse.
A natural promontory, the estate offers breathtaking views to admire the Dentelles de Montmirail, Mont Ventoux and the Rhône Valley plain.
